HOTEL KANIGOS 21 | ATHENS | 2004

Commercial

The architectural design of this “boutique” hotel focuses on the elaboration of the existing building’s envelope and the dialect between the city life and the interior space. The repetitive openings and the warm red limestone cladding in the façade, intensify of the building’s presence in Kaniggos square. The openings are the visual connection of the room-cells to the Academias Street’s axis, towards which they are oriented.

The architectural approach to this project is sculptural, one gets the impression that the building has been carved out of a stone volume.
